General inquiries

What should I prepare before a first consultation?

Bring a short written timeline, the names of the other parties involved, and any documents that help explain the issue, including court papers, contracts, correspondence, IDs, or notices. That makes the first consultation more useful and helps the firm identify the right next step quickly.

Does the website provide legal advice?

No. The website is intended to help prospective clients understand whether the firm may be a fit for their matter. Specific legal advice should only be taken after the firm has reviewed the facts of your situation.

Can the firm assist clients outside Trinidad and Tobago?

Yes. The firm regularly assists overseas and cross-border clients, particularly those based in the UK, Canada, and the USA who have property, estate, immigration, or family matters in Trinidad and Tobago. Phone, Zoom, and WhatsApp consultations are available for remote clients.

Consultations & fees

How do I book a consultation?

You can use the contact form on this site, call either office directly, or send a message via WhatsApp. Practice-area pages include direct booking links that route your inquiry to the right intake path. The firm aims to respond to online inquiries within one business day.

Are virtual consultations available?

Yes. Appointments are available via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, or phone — which is especially useful for overseas clients, urgent first conversations, or clients who prefer a remote intake. WhatsApp follow-up is also available for informal first-step queries.

How are legal fees usually handled?

Fees depend on the type of matter, the urgency, the amount of work involved, and whether the issue is advisory, transactional, or contested. The usual first step is to review the matter during consultation and then clarify the scope and engagement terms before substantive work begins.

Practice areas

Which types of legal matters does the firm handle?

The firm's core service lines include Family Law, Civil & Commercial Litigation, Property & Conveyancing, Immigration Law, Wills, Probate & Estates, Medical Negligence, along with related specialist matters that can be routed through the wider intake process if the issue overlaps several categories.

Can I tell the firm my practice area before I submit an inquiry?

Yes. The contact form includes a practice area selector, and individual service pages link directly to the form with the relevant area pre-selected. This helps the firm route your matter to the right attorney from the start.

What if I am not sure which practice area fits my issue?

Use the contact page or the additional services path and describe the matter clearly. If the issue overlaps several areas, the intake route can still direct it to the closest relevant attorney or service team.

Office & locations

What are the current office hours?

Both offices are open Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Virtual consultations can be scheduled by appointment outside standard hours where necessary, particularly for overseas clients in different time zones.

Which offices are currently available for in-person consultations?

The firm has in-person offices in Port of Spain (+1 (868) 624-4529) and Scarborough (+1 (868) 639-1809). Virtual consultations are available by appointment for clients who need remote access.

Which office should I contact if I am unsure where my matter belongs?

If you are unsure, use the contact form or call the Port of Spain office. The intake process is designed to route your matter to the right attorney or office after the first conversation.
